I have been shopping with LaBottega Della Nonna for many years and I can’t believe they cheated me like they did, recently. I placed an order in December and ordered 3 jars of fruit spread -2 fig spreads and 1 STRAWBERRY spread. Vito sent me a jar of CHERRY spread instead of STRAWBERRY as I ordered. Despite my 3 phone calls to Vito to make it right all he did was promise me he would call back in the afternoon each of the 3 times. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and I am 100% of Sicilian descent. I love all the products I have ordered from them and I have a lot of their products. You can imagine the disappointment I felt when Vito never called me back each of the three times nor did he send the strawberry spread that I had ordered and received cherry instead. I decided to turn this over to my AMEX cc account and have them handle it to see if they could get him to send the correct order. I also ordered 2 of the fig spreads, and only received 1 because that is all he had however, the next week he received a shipment in and during this time I was trying to call him to make good on the wrong cherry spread he sent me. So I then asked if they could include a fig spread when he sent the correct strawberry spread and I would give him my cc number when he called me back. I had $10 in rewards credits when I placed the original order. Since they credited my cc for one of the fig spreads that he did not send minus the portion of the $10 rewards credit they used on my order instead of applying it to the other items I bought I just lost that and the shipping I paid for something I didn’t receive.
Vito sent to my AMEX cc company a copy of the invoice and showing that it was “delivered”, and AMEX denied the claim because they said it was delivered. Yes, a CHERRY spread was delivered not STRAWBERRY as I ordered and he refused to make this good. I am so sick that after all the years I have been shopping with them they could do this to me over a $6.99 jar of spread plus I had paid $14+ in shipping and of course he returned none of that even though he didn’t send the other jar of fig spread nor did he send the correct strawberry spread. I don’t feel like arguing over a jar of $6.99 spread with Vito anymore and I’m so disappointed that I feel like I can’t shop with them anymore because he didn’t write a wrong that was done to me.
