Love my Sicilian Carrento dish towel in my kitchen. Both of my parents including my grandparents are from Ribera Sicily and growing up the carrento was a permeant staple that adorned the front low and living room in my house and Nonno/Nonna’s house. The iconic and historical donkey with cart will always live on to be a historical representation of the Sicilian culture.

As a child there was a small donkey cart that belonged to my father. He had brought it over from Sicily. He made me proud of my heritage and I was thrilled finding this dishcloth on this site. It is large, colorful and creates topic for conversation. I love it so much I don't think I'll dry any dishes with it.
