Riscossa is the brand of pasta that Nonna Romana  sold in her Bottega in Italy starting in 1945.  Riscossa pasta is produced in Corato (about 20 miles away from our hometown Mola di Bari, Puglia) and is the brand of pasta that all Pugliesi love. I'm happy to continue Nonna Romana's tradition of making this pasta available in my Bottega.

My only complaint here is that when I opened the box, two of the bags were slit open and the pasta was EVERYWHERE inside the box and the paper packaging! That was a mess and you know those little pastas are so tiny that I know I'll be finding them for weeks. So I lost two bags, that was disappointing.

The Best Acini di Pepe - Peperini Pastina - Riscossa

This is my standard pantry staple pasta. I am all about making pastina for my little grandchildren. They always request these little peperini pastina. They also like the stelline, but the peperini pastina is such an incredible quality and holds up beautifully in your pastina bowls. Fall/Winter is here and coming, and zuppa is the highlight of my menus! Buon Appetito!!!

We first tried this Pastina when I ordered Nonna's Pastina Box, which I also recommend. I added it my Chicken soup and everyone enjoyed it. We enjoyed it so much we just received another bag just yesterday. Tonight's dinner is Pastina with butter and Locatelli cheese. I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as my family does.

I can't buy this anywhere local so when I received my order, I immediately made a bowl and have made a bowl every night until I ran out! I need to double my order! The memories that this pasta brings back!!!
