Cocciolette - Baby Shells - Riscossa

Baby Shells, the  perfect Pasta  that your Nonna can make for you when you are under the weather.  It is the ultimate comfort food both for kids and adults.

Nonna's Pastina Recipes HERE

Riscossa is the brand of pasta that Nonna Romana  sold in her Bottega in Italy starting in 1945.  Riscossa pasta is produced in Corato (about 20 miles away from our hometown Mola di Bari, Puglia) and is the brand of pasta that all Pugliesi love. I'm happy to continue Nonna Romana's tradition of making this pasta available in my Bottega.

Childhood memories

I always loved these tiny pastas in my mother and grandma’s soup. It was a standby quick meal for us children. Now at a super elderly age I eat these two pastinas at least once a week. Taste is awesome once again for me. You don’t have to be a small child to enjoy. Any age is great.

Great Pastina

I stocked up on a several different pastina shapes, can't run out during soup season. We've even been known to eat it with just some oil or butter and Pecorino Romano - so good. I've bought it several times from Cooking with Nona and have never been disappointed.

i love the little shells. i like them for soup, I even made pasta salad with them, they were so tasty even though they were small. I'm giving my immediate family three pounds of different pasta for christmas. we even have a secret santa exchange for ten dollars and i'm giving the lemon linguine for my gift. great for seafood. I have loved all the food i've got.
Last year i bought all braclets for all of my four nieces. they loved them.
