Fig Vin Cotto (Fig Molasses) from Calabria

This Fig Vin Cotto (Fig Molasses) is made in Calabria from "Dottato" figs.  It is especially used to dip your Christmas Cartellate. But it is also perfect to make cookies and desserts and it is great when drizzled over Gelato.

In our home, it is not Christmas if Nonna Romana and her sister Nonna Rosa do not make Cartellate.  You should certainly try to make them at home and here is the Recipe
