Merlini Frozen Vegetables Storage Instructions

PLEASE NOTE!

These Merlini  Frozen Vegetables are packaged in Italy and as such they are labeled according to Italian Laws governing frozen foods. Therefore, the labeling on the package suggests that once the vegetables thaw, they should not be refrozen and can only be stored in the fridge for 24 hours before cooking.

This directive is  different from the general practice adopted in the USA which, even according to the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service, it is generally safe to refreeze thawed vegetables.

Please make the purchase of these Merlini vegetables only if you are comfortable with USA practice.
