This Cotto di Fichi (Vin Cotto) is made in Puglia from figs that have been dried by the summer sun of Puglia.  It is especially used to dip your Christmas Cartellate. But it is also perfect to make cookies and desserts and it is great when drizzled over Gelato.

In our home, it is not Christmas if Nonna Romana and her sister Nonna Rosa do not make Cartellate.
