Cartellate di Natale from Puglia in Fig Vin Cotto

PS:  Please be aware that Cartellate, by their very nature, are extremely Fragile and even though we package them well, they can experience significant breakage during transport.  Especially when carriers drop boxes on your porch without care for the Fragile content.  Therefore, we will NOT be liable for breakage.

Cartellate are the traditional Christmas fritters made in Puglia at Christmas time.  As per the  tradition these Cartellate are already dipped in Cotto di Fichi (Fig Vin Cotto). These are just like the ones your Nonna would have made.

These Cartellate are hand made in Puglia.

Depending on the size there  6-7 Cartellate in each package.

Ingredients: "00" flour, semolina, white wine, olive oil, salt (1%), Fig Vin Cotto.

Net weight: 200 Gr - 7.05 Oz

Apologies if some Vin Cotto leaks from the package. But nothing to worry about.

Before serving you can scoop some of the Vin Cotto at the bottom of the package and pour it over the Cartellate. Of course you can also add some additional Fig Vin Cotto on your own with a little drizzle of cinnamon.
