The Cooking with Nonna Cookbook - Commemorative Edition - With Dedication

I love Italian food and sadly I never learned how to cook the way my grandmother did. In my quest to carry on her traditions, I decided to buy this book because it was filled with different recipes and stories from women that continue to carry on their traditions and love for Italian food. Rossella Rago does an excellent job of presenting recipes that will get you to explore your culinary skills. I consider myself a beginner and the recipes are very easy to work with, and now I enjoy cooking Italian food. I have tried several of the recipes in this book and they are delicious! Thank you, Rossella, Nonna Romana, and all the other Nonna's for bringing back my memories of my Nonna's cooking. Excellent Book!

This book reminds me of my heritage which I am so very proud of! I cook daily and mostly don’t use cookbooks, however both my Nonna and Mother have passed and some of their recipes I just don’t have written down. I’ve made cannoli filling from memory but always bought the shells. Now that I have this book I made the cannoli shells and they tasted exactly like my Nonnas!!!! She was from Sicily, and I have a picture of her filling cannoli which is a cherished memory. Thank you!

I love this cookbook so much. How it incorporates Nonnas experiences with her granddaughter. What a special book! All the recipes are perfection! We have all your cookbooks and we’ve given them this one as a gift to everyone we know!

An absolutely gorgeous book, perfectly laid out with old family photos, wonderful anecdotes and so many delicious recipes, complete with beautiful pictures… these are the most nostalgic of recipes from our southern Italian nonne…they warm the heart in the memories they bring..I cannot wait to try each one…perfetto!

I saw Rossella on Breaking Bread and had to order this. Her and her Nonna's cooking looked amazing! The recipes are well written (the book is heavy!) and ingredients sound easy to find. Only thing I wish is that each recipe had a picture on the page to see if I am presenting it correctly.

This cookbook is fantastic. I am of Italian descent and the recipes taste like my Grandmom Carmela's. Sadly, I have her aprons but no recipes written down from her since she did everything by memory. Now, when I need a Grandmom fix, I make the Pastina soup or another recipe from this book. I leave it on my counter since it is a go-to cookbook for me. So glad to have found it.

Bought this as a gift for my mother, she's happy to find recipes that remind her of the past.

the best cooking book ever, normally don't use them but it is a must have. The stories and recipes are too be cherished forever.

I am so excited to have ordered myself this book....finally. I got to know Rossella and Nonna Romana and their wonderful recipes during the COVID-19 quarantine. I viewed and enjoyed numerous live shows from Rossella's kitchen, (I presume that it was her kitchen.).

Best Authentic Italian Recipes ❤️🇮🇹

As a Nonna myself, I bought these books as gifts for my girls. The books themselves are lovely with beautiful photos and wonderful recipes. The recipes bring me back to my own childhood and the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen on Sundays. (I was a bit hesitant to give them 5 stars because the package arrived soaking (I mean really, really soaking) wet. Thankfully, only one of the books was slightly damaged and it's the one I'm keeping for myself so no big deal.)

What a marvelous celebration of Italian heritage, family and of course great recipes. This is more than a cookbook, it's an Italian life style bible full of great memories and celebrations. All the Nonna's have great recipes and stories about their history and their families. My Mother makes the Pastiera Napoletana and I cant wait to try your version!! I collect cookbooks and this is by far one of my favorites! Growing up in an Italian household had its advantages as far as learning how to cook Italian. These recipes bring me home where my heart is! From cover to end it’s packed with incredible, easy to follow recipes! Mangia!
